Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel was spotless and very comfortable for an overnight stay before our cruise. However, the noise from the constant trains passing by was quite disappointing. The location is close to the city centre, which was convenient for my business visit. The dining experience, especially the cooked eggs, was up to standard, but the wait time was a bit of a letdown.
I had everything I asked for in advance, but the room had issues with the TV not working properly throughout the night and cleanliness was lacking with fingernail clippings by the chair. The service was subpar with promises not met promptly.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were a nice size, well-designed for physically challenged guests, and immaculate, but unfortunately, there was a strong smell of vomit. The service was a letdown. The location was convenient for accessing bus and train services and close to the harbor for ferries to the Isle of Wight, making it suitable for those boarding cruises. However, some areas felt a little cramped, and parking onsite is limited. The dining was substantial and good, but expensive and not included in my deal, with some limitations on decaffeinated coffee options. Overall, the price and value for money were reasonable, although some aspects need improvement.
The hotel is conveniently located near Mayflower Theatre and the town, but the room had a mix of positives and negatives. The bed was very comfortable, but the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, leading to a backache in the morning. The room felt dingy and the sofa seemed neglected in a corner. Disappointed with the restaurant's opening times, as it wasn't accessible during the day. The hotel's proximity to various attractions and transportation options is a plus.
The hotel rooms were comfortable, especially with the bath, which was great for the children during our summer stay. The air conditioning was a plus. However, the housekeeping service was lacking as our room was not made up properly, and we were given a wooden base instead. The location was convenient for our business visit, being close to the city centre, but the noise from the nearby station and upstairs disrupted our sleep. The dining experience was up to standard, but we found the cutlery and crockery quite dirty. The hotel facilities were good overall.
